Team 8 from AKB48 was Created. and it will bring a new concept, than the other Teams.

"On the first day of AKB48 Request Hour 2014 Setlist Best 200 concerts, idol group AKB48 announced the creation of a fifth team, the Team 8. Team 8 will be set up with a different concept from previous teams (Team A, Team B, Team C, and Team 4). Team 8 was formed by the concept of "real idol go to see you," meaning the idol will meet his fans at various prefectures / provinces. Auditions Team 8 will begin on January 24, 2014 and the members selected from each 47 prefectures in Japan. Final formation of Team 8 will be set up in March and they will debut in May. In addition, Team 8 was the first AKB48 Team will be supported by corporate sponsorships. Reported Toyota Motor Corporation will provide full support to Team 8."
